Proof of Concept

We are very experienced in rapidly developing and delivering a proof-of- concept implementation of a proposed system. This is a very powerful tool for checking that the proposed system is viable, and for exposing the potential impact and interactions with the many other systems and processes around the proosed new system. A proof of concept can be developed with the help of potential users and other stakeholders, and demonstrated back to these groups relatively quickly. This gives them the opportunity to see that their concerns are being heard, and builds confidence that the final implementation would do what they need. It also allows validation of the proposed plan or strategy.

In some cases, there is a good pre-existing specification, but in most cases the proof of concept implementation helps to define the specification and design for the full system.

A Proof of concept implementation is also a powerful tool for exploring and controlling the scope of the final project, and usually provides a much better estimate of the likely cost, timescales and impact of the full implementation as well as helping to quantify the potential benefits.
