This is a system designed to model and solve a problem in tax planning for groups of companies. Although the tax rules are numerous, complex and restrictive, they allow a number of choices in financial planning between companies in a group. This system considers many more possible choices than a human operator and finds the best financial plan to minimise the tax payable, while also keeping the most flexibility for future accounting periods.
