A staged approach

A carefully staged approach allows:

  • identification of areas of a business that can be changed and that are most likely to benefit the whole business.
  • identification and agreement of measurable performance indicators so that the team can quantify the impact of the project.
  • proof of principle and concept of operation of any proposed new systems and processes.
  • reduction of the project risks by identifying all the necessary information sources and consumers and all the necessary tools.

In reality we recognise that some of these stages may have already been carried out, or there may be preferred suppliers or vendors. For example, there are many business and management consultancies that can advise on changes in business processes or systems. Similarly, there are many software and system vendors and consultancies who may be able to provide large parts of an overall system or solution. However, very few of these organisations have any practical in-depth experience of a range of optimisation techniques. We are very happy to provide support and work alongside other staff and project teams as part of a larger project, sometimes just as advisors or mentors, other times as implementers and maintainers of specialist modules or system components.

We believe that the independent support that we can provide during such developments can help a customers achieve greater benefits than may be possible otherwise.
